When she arrives the whole place is infested with Zombies. Leon a rookie cop helps her out they drive in a car, but a truck with an undead driver crashes into their car and they split up. During the game Claire encounters a mysterious little girl, named Sherry Birkin, who she becomes to trust later on. Claire survives with Leon and sherry. After the raccoon City incident Claire found some leads of Chris in a european base and heads there, but she gets caught in the process. a man later releases her because he thinks this whole place is going down with all the people in it. Claire escapes and encounters a young boy named Steve, who really likes Claire. During investigating the island she looks at a computer which tells her that Chris is under survailance by umbrella. later on Chris finds claire and helps her find Steve, who has been kidnapped by Alexia ashford, and performed experiments on him. Claire finds him and he mutates and attacks her. Claire gets upset, as his last words were that he loves her. Claire escapes from the island with Chris and blows up the island.
